Everything you need to know to get started safely
Check that the security seals are intact and the packaging hasn't been tampered with. Your Trezor should come with the device, USB cable, and recovery seed cards.
Always download Trezor Suite from the official trezor.io website. Never use third-party installers or apps as they may be malicious.
Write down your 12 or 24-word recovery seed on the provided cards. This is the ONLY way to recover your funds if you lose your device. Never take a photo or store it digitally.
Choose a PIN that's at least 6 digits long and not easily guessable. This protects your device if it's physically stolen.
Send a small test transaction first to ensure everything works correctly. Once confirmed, you can transfer the rest of your assets.
